Welcome to the Season of Light in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Join other like-minded women as we Journey through the Elements to celebrate the summer solstice. Connect with your inner nature by diving deep within through an exploration of each element Earth, Air, Water, Fire, Spirit.
Earth: Feel the connection of the earth at your feet. You are rooted and grounded into being.
Air: The scent of cedar is carried on the wind. Headwinds that make us stronger or tailwinds to ease our paddling efforts – the spirit of air surrounds us.
Water: Celebrate clean water in lakes so pure, you could drink from them. Dance in the rain, let the spirit of water flow through you.
Fire: The essential element for every outdoor experience. Ancient wisdom is held in campfires where food is prepared and stories are told.
Spirit: The spirit of the wilderness is within us.

COVID-19 UPDATE: Book with confidence! 2020 has been a year of much uncertainty, but I still remain optimistic we will have a summer filled with wilderness experiences. So far, we are still a go for the season. I am monitoring and following the CDC and MN State guidelines closely while working on taking certain steps and precautions to enable us to have a safe and enjoyable experience. For instance, our group sizes are very small to begin with, no more than 9. I am in the works of procuring single tents for sleeping for those interested. For this year, 2020 only, I have also changed the policy regarding deposits and full payment. You retain the option cancel up to a week before the event if you are not feeling well or safe and will be given a full refund, deposit included. If our social distancing protocols currently in place are extended through any trip, full refunds, including the deposits will be given. I say this all with a light heart and a compelling call to continue my work providing you with access to this beautiful place. I fully believe nature is healing and what if spending time in it is the medicine? I want to continue to give you this opportunity. Be Happy. Love, Melissa
